Intro

------------------------------------------

Welcome to the "playtest version" of Foxrio, a "goofy" platformer created during a the 48 hours PULS GAME JAM. Guide Foxrio through the broken realm of the Skylands, helping him to evade trouble and jump your way to the [Very important quest item]. (Almost*) everything was made in those 48 hours!!

This playtest version includes:

  • 2 semi-funny devs to listen to while you are testing their latest game.
  • 4 !unique levels to explore.
  • Fluid controls for: well uh- platforming.
  • A vibrant, handcrafted world, void of any personality! :D

We’d love your feedback to help us improve the game! Let us know what you think in the comments or via the feedback form.

Fun Facts

------------------------------------------

Foxrio is a play on Fox and Mario

Mechanics Tidali coded, that didn't make it in the final build:

  • Speeding up infinitely while walking
  • Kicking a wall to boost yourself into the opposite direction (this was implemented and felt good, but the level designer chose to not use it smh).
  • Basically anything that made his hard labour of making a working rigidbody2D worth, such as bouncy or slippery surfaces.

* Every asset, piece of code or sound was made by us after the start of the jam and we are EXCEPTIONALLY proud of that! (Sounds were made by hand (mouth) by Tidali! :D)

EXCEPT!:

The background music ingame, that was made by Tidali for another project long before  the jam, the ambient wind from pixabay used for our Game Off 2024 Game Ryans Drive and the grass footsteps from this Ocular Bundle.
